Ba Trai Dao Beach (Three Peaches Islet) lays near Cat Ba Island. It is 22 kilometers south north far from Bai Chay Wharf. (3.5 to 4 hours of speed boats).

The islet is a group of three small mountains 23 meters high, looking like three peaches. The Ba Trai Dao Beach at their bottom is one of the most beautiful beaches in Halong Bay. The beach has the shape of a bow embracing the islet. However, you can swim at the beach only 2 – 3 hours a day because the tide rises and engulfs the beach. Today, three peaches beach is famous for its romantic landscape. The legend explains that the youngest daughter of the God and a poor fisherman were in live. As she wanted him to be immortal to be with her forever, she stole three peaches in the heaven to give him immortality. The God noticed and was very angry. He turned the three peaches into three stone mountains on the sea. Therefore, the locals named the islet “Ba Trai Dao” Islet (Three Peaches Islet).
